I chose this location, because it is the birthplace of my absolute favorite sheep; Bluefaced Leicester. Bluefaced Leicester wool is soft enough to wear next to the skin, but durable enough to be made into hard wearing garments. It spins up like a dream, and the long staple length and beautiful crimp make it a great wool for new spinners!
Northumberland is a blend of soft lilac, blue, seafoam, and grey. Moody and soft, it echos the dramatic scenes on the Northumberland coastline.
