The 2026 Winter Solstice Mystery Box, "Among the Stacks," is inspired by old books, vintage bookshops, worn leather bindings, steaming mugs of tea and coffee, rainy afternoons spent poring over enormous volumes, and narrow cobblestone streets lined with places that seem to hold a little bit of magic behind their doors.
This year's color palette draws from the rich, moody world of vintage bookshops. Think deep teals and greens, burgundies, warm leather browns, aged paper, dark wood, steaming winter drinks and the soft shadows between overfilled shelves.
Each box includes five coordinating skeins of hand-dyed yarn or five coordinating fiber braids in the base of your choice, designed to work beautifully together while still giving each color room to tell its own part of the story.
You will also receive a selection of gifts from small makers that I have curated for the "Among the Stacks" theme. Each treasure will help build the feeling of a cozy afternoon spent tucked away with a good book while the rain falls outside.
